All dermatology consultations are now on-line, by secure video link, during the coronavirus pandemic.
Non-Insured or Self-Pay Consultation Fees
The consultation fee covers the cost of an on-line video consultation. After your consultation, a letter will be sent to your GP detailing the diagnosis and the treatment plan. You will be posted a copy of the letter, along with a prescription so that you can start your treatment.
Payment is also on-line, by card. You will be sent an invoice by email containing a secure link to pay by card at the end of your consultation.
£160 – Initial Consultation / New problem
The cost of any necessary blood tests or investigations will be discussed with you and are in addition to the consultation fees. These will be arranged on-line, where possible.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to arrange cryotherapy, biopsies or skin surgery at the present time, as the service is on-line.

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your Health Insurance Company before your consultation, to check with your health insurer the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of cover that you have. Most health insurers are covering the cost of on-line video consultations, but please check if this applies to your policy.
Please ask your Health Insurance Company whether you need a GP referral letter prior to booking in, and to obtain an authorisation number.
You will be asked to send a copy of your insurance details and authorisation number prior to your appointment. If you have an excess on your policy, you will be asked to pay the excess at the end of your on-line consultation.
